Last night I had a Fall Foods party. Mostly I wanted to celebrate Halloween without feeling like I had to dress up. And it was fabulous! Among other things, I also tried three new recipes:
Pumpkin Pie Puppy Chow was excellent! The pumpkin pie spice provides a subtle whiff of fall in every bite.
The
Candy Corn Pretzel Hugs were surprisingly good. I had to adapt the recipe since I couldn't find Hugs at the store. Instead I just dipped them in leftover white chocolate (almond bark) from the Puppy Chow recipe. Turned out great!
Salted Caramel dip from the Amish Store turned out great. The Apple Creek Amish Market has a whole section of powdered dips that you add sour cream and/or cream cheese to. This was the first one I've gotten and it was delicious!
What a fun idea! I looked up both the recipes - I can't believe how easy and how cute the Candy Corn Pretzel Hugs!! Yum! wish we had an Amish Market!
